Swinburne and Astronomy Australia Limited (AAL) are working together to provide access to 1,000 OpenStack Virtual Machines (VMs) for the astronomy community on the dedicated Swinburne cell within the NeCTAR Cloud network. Each VM can be provisioned to deliver a minimum of two virtual CPUs, 4GB RAM and a floating IP per VM.

These resources will be available in full from July 1st 2020 and more information will be provided here closer to that date. To assist in the uptake of the resources we will be developing a customised astronomy interface, conducting user tutorials and identifying small-job use cases on OzSTAR that are suitable for transfer from HPC to the VM infrastructure. User documentation can be found here (link to docs).
